CHRISTOPHER G. BYRD
I am a lifelong resident of Washington County. I was born here, raised here, and I love this area with all my heart.
I graduated from David Crockett High School in Jonesborough then went on to East Tennessee State University on an academic scholarship. At ETSU, I received a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communications and a Bachelor's of Science with a concentration in Advertising. I minored in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
I graduated from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2012 and received my license that same year. I decided to start my own practice in December 2012. Since then, I have represented people on a wide variety of criminal matters and a growing number of civil matters. I have handled everything from minor driving offenses all the way up to high level drug offenses and murder. I have also represented parents in dependency and neglect cases and juveniles in delinquent and unruly cases. I have worked on personal injury cases, contract disputes, and probate matters.
I am a firm believer that every person deserves their day in court and deserves to have an attorney who will fight for them.
I am admitted to practice in the state of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
I am a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association.
